WENDY RIGG
Wendy is currently fashion editor at Saga and the award-winning PS magazine – a Scottish Sunday supplement. She has contributed to Woman & Home and the Daily Mail, on a freelance basis, and has also been involved with sustainable fashion campaigns. She is much regarded and well connected in the industry. It’s no exaggeration to say that Wendy knows anyone worth knowing within the industry and has launched and nurtured the glittering fashion journalism careers of many of her protégés.
She knows what it takes to catch a busy journalist or editor’s attention and can turn a sow’s ear into a silk purse.
Previous positions include : Associate Editor - Reveal (Wendy edited the lifestyle pages at Reveal, which included fashion, beauty, homes and food, and managed a team of celebrity contributors (including Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen, James Martin, Gino D'Acampo and Martine McCutcheon), Editor - Looks, Fashion Director -Good Housekeeping and Prima, Executive Fashion Director - more, Deputy Fashion Editor- best, Fashion Editor - Jackie.
Little known facts about Wendy...
She was a regular Jackie cover girl, and also studied fashion design and knitwear at Ravensbourne college and went on to sell her degree collection to Joseph. Madonna once wore a top designed by Wendy for Fiorucci. She was featured in both Italian and English Vogue. She’s styled many celebrities including Tess Daly, Carol Vorderman, and the casts of East Enders and Coronation Street amongst many others.
